Founded in 1912, EHCA is a private, non-profit, multi-faceted organization offering both residential and community-based supports to children and adults with developmental disabilities. Through 9 programs, EHCA serves over 275 people and their families every day throughout 4 counties: Erie, Crawford, Venango, and Potter.

Since its humble beginnings as a temporary home for needy infants, the agency has evolved into 16 group homes providing specialized residential care for children and adults. We also offer community-based support services for individuals who live on their own or with their families.

Throughout the years our goals have grown, yet our mission remains important: to assist people with disabilities to live rich and fulfilling lives.
