OASIS

OASIS (Opportunities and Advancement for Students with Intellectual disabilities for Self-Determination) is a collaboration with Mercyhurst North East, where students with developmental disabilities attend courses with other college students and work toward a one-year certificate as a Culinary Assistant.  Students can choose a concentration as an assistant baker, prep cook, or pantry cook and complete an internship at a local business to help find work in a restaurant or in the catering industry!

Other students and the program coordinator are availalbe for support, so students can do the same things as every other college student...not just going to classes, but also meeting new people and doing fun things on campus. OASIS students are able to get the full college experience.
