2011-12 Annual Appeal
Supporting Capital Improvements Fund

Every home has its needs! And at EHCA, some of our facilities are starting to age to the point where we need some typical updates.  That’s why this year’s Annual Appeal is going to be designated to the Capital Improvements Fund. 

Just like you know how much more your home is to you than just brick and mortar, our homes offer safe, secure, comfortable living spaces for over 80 residents, who are placed permanently for year-round, 24/7 care.  Our homes provide a place for Ron to cheer on the Steelers on his TV in the living room, a space for Amber to play her friends in a Wii tournament, and a room for Becky to sew blankets to donate to others.  Our residents sit around the dining room table and share meals over good end-of-day conversation, and drift off to sleep in their bedrooms decorated with their favorite items and in unique styles to their individual personalities.  We strive to make our houses a home to each person who lives in our Residential Program.  But maintaining our homes can be expensive, and you can help!

Your support is greatly appreciated.

By making a contribution to the 2011-12 Annual Appeal, you’ll be helping address our Residential Program’s group homes, agency’s office space, and other building, major equipment, and vehicle needs. For example, as with every home, some of our earliest group homes (which opened in the late 1980s) need attention in the following areas:

     Roofing/gutters
Furnaces/air conditioning
Parking lot/driveway paving
Major appliances
Flooring
Windows
